Like moth to a flame

With you all else in life is blurred
I'm cocooned and wrapped in your vision
You, my one and only world
Should seem small...
Alas i'm ever discovering more to love and cherish..
I'm ever falling into your abyss
I'm scared of waking up yet terrified of dreaming on...
feels like ash scattered to the winds anticipating to land on sweet flora
Yet despairing landing on molten lava
But with each second like a moth to a flame my heart and soul are twined to yours in eternal rhythm <3

"You are my home"

Tingling sensations, restless tummy butterflies
Dreamy days, sleepless nights
All's right with the world once again

Light upon Light
Two spirits mingled as one
Our touches undefined
Rhythms matched with fiery intensity

Yet with him i was at peace
My heart's content
My life aglow

"You are my home" he said
He wasn't my soulmate...
He was my soul mirror <3

Son, just stay in your lane

The number of Muslims who don't stay in their lane, speaking about things they are not qualified on, or ready for, is growing fast; it's like a viral breakout, a disease which has become endemic amongst us.
Social media really has become a fitnah for them. It gave a platform to those who should not be on it.
Perhaps they were saved from clubbing or dating or doing drugs etc, and instead started "practising" only to become addicted to another drug which is even worse: speaking without knowledge, "educating" without being educated, "warning" when ignorant, typing because they simply can, and so on.
Once one is bitten by the bug of fame and attention, it is near impossible to go back. You think you can start talking about usul because of a few classes you take, and you think you can talk about bid'ah because you can pronounce the letter 'ayn - in fact, they always seem to have a great letter 'ayn, right? - and you think you can teach when you are wholly ignorant of the Shari'ah, and you think you can try and explain matters when you don't even know the Arabic language, let alone all the sciences that follow.
Is this status about YOU? Yes it is. I don't need to mention one name as a flag-bearer of this disease when I aiming this at 50 of you who try and do the same but at varying levels of success. If you're thinking "it's me he's talking about", then you'd be right. If you're feeling paranoid right now, you should be. Because I *am* talking about you. Yes I've read your statements. Yes I also have a personal account on social media too and see and read what everyone else is talking about on my friends and liked lists. You shouldn't have gone there in the first place. This is what happens. If you rise like a balloon, full of gas, then expect someone to pop you when you talk nonsense or try to come across as someone you're not and mislead people. Is that me judging you? Sure thing. Hatin' on you? Absolutely. Forcing you to only stick to what you're good at. Correct.
You wanted to give da'wah? Your keeping silent for a good few years will be the best da'wah you will ever give. You want to be an activist? Get off FB and actually get active and help someone. We don't need any more heroes online. The world doesn't need you. Believe me, it doesn't. Your style isn't so new, and your approach isn't so unique so as to justify the masses being exposed to an ignoramus. There is a huge difference between sharing content from qualified people and reminding folks that way - a great and encouraged thing - and you trying to do reminding from your own pocket and not knowing what you're talking about.
And sometimes, you *will* know what you're talking about, but you should remain silent. Just to learn the system. Just to learn the skill of patience and humility. It will serve you well later when it is time for you to lead.
I studied for nearly seven years - that's full time, not part time classes, and that's proper studying, not "practising" and living as a Muslim - before my teacher told me to go public with da'wah. My mouth and my fingers were quiet during that time. I studied for another seven before I had the belief and support from my teachers that I should have an opinion that is worth listening to. It's taken me another five years to realise that opinion isn't worth much at all, wa Allahu'l-Musta'an.
Son, just stay in your lane. Please. For your own sake.

Living as we die...

I walked with my head high,
My limbs agile...my breathe steady
In an alley there lays a dead cat,
I'm awash with grief,
Once more I'm reminded....
I am but a rotting flesh...
I bow my head in humility

Every effort goes a long way.....

Never doubt your ability however little....to inspire and change the course....

They say every little helps....

Be a wildlife warrior today...for the souls that can't defend themselves

"Just Returned Today From Kenya - Very Sad State of Affairs

As someone who loves Kenya, her people and her wildlife and who reads the Nairobi papers daily, I know that tourism has been down. However, I never dreamed how down it could be.....

I spent two full weeks in a Kenyan National Park and am still in a state of shock. On several days there were only 2 clients in camp; numbers went up this weekend to 26 on Saturday and 21 on Sunday (this camp is normally full with 40 - 50 people in camp.

I have always traveled with Southern Cross Safaris in Mombasa for all my 28 trips. They have been in business since 1957 and in addition to being a tour operator, they own two camps, one in Tsavo and one near Amboseli. Mike Kirkland, the owner of SXS has done so very much for wildlife. He and Trevor Jennings built a camp in Tsavo around 1998 and had the vision to put in two waterholes for the wildlife (a large one for the elephants, hippos and large animals and a smaller one for the smaller species).

Please let me eunumerate some of the other things Mike has done for wildlife over the years. When the Aruba Dam Bridge was ruined by a storm, Mike re-built it; he stopped Aruba Dam from being made into an artificial waterhole; two years ago he had four new boreholes drilled (not for camp water but to supply water to the two waterholes for the animals); he has gone to great expense to see that the waterhole has been dredged out of all dirt, mud and dung on two occasions; Mike and his staff built the Ndara Plains waterhole; he started and funds the Wema Centre in Mombasa for human orphans and sees they are all housed, clothed, fed and educated (going so far as to treat all the children to a trip to Tsavo a few months back so the children could learn about their Kenyan wildlife. He supports the Tsavo Trust and supports and has driven in the Rhino Charge. I am sure there are many other things Mike has done to help wildlife that I am not aware of. Thank you Mike for all you have done to better the lives of Kenya's wildlife over the years!

Why am I giving this "commercial" to Southern Cross Safaris? Because most of all I believe in what they do for wildlife. Secondly there are so many tour operators, camp and lodge owners who make their money from wildlife, pay their monthly
bills and pocket what is left over without doing anything (or very little) to contribute to the well-being of wildlife. I salute anyone in the business who supports wildlife by actively doing something positive to make the wildlife's lives better.
If tour companies, camp and lodges are in trouble now because of low tourism, what will happen to the wildlife if those who are doing so much to help wildlife have to "close shop"? Before you stay at any camp or lodge in Kenya, please request information from them of what they actually contribute to wildlife itself and what projects they have been involved in make life better for the wildlife.

I still do not believe the entire drop in tourism is due to "travel advisories". Most of the people in camp I saw were international tourists. Usually there are quite a few "wealthy" Kenyans who visit there - but until last weekend there were none. Therefore I would like to challenge Kenyans who are able to afford a stay in the park for a day or two to PLEASE SUPPORT tour companies and camps and lodges like Southern Cross Safaris to enable them to continue with the caring work they have done for wildlife, and insure you are contributing to HELPING WILDLIFE and not just someone pocketing the profits. The same should be said of NGO's. What have you actually done to improve wildlife's health or safety?
My hope is that I am not offending anyone but instead encouraging more camp and lodge owners to follow Mike's example and get involved in helping save wildlife."

I've loved more times than once...

I've loved more times than once...

And each time as uniquely and intensely as the predecessor...

And though I mourned the loss of each in it's time....

I sit back and reminiscence on those moments that had me joyous..

Realising for some of us it just doesn't take one person in a lifetime to feel loved....

But a few lovers in a lifetime....

I've loved more times than once....

And each time I discovered pieces of me I didn't know existed....

Each love sculpturing me into a better mold of myself...

Learning that afflicted pain comes and goes, you have no control of others actions....

But inflicted pain remains within...burrowing and damaging your inner self.....

Till you are but a shell of your once beautiful soul....

Dear Lovers....I've loved more times than once.....

Tis best to flourish when love is obtainable....

Mourn when it's gone...for a time...not to long till you loose your light completely....

Like a buried seed...when it's time to sprout....
bloom to a new sunshine, love and another chance of love....

Know that you are always beautiful and blessed....always..... <3

Chaos of the ignorant....

So much ignorance in the world…

It takes the energy out of me everyday....

When will we the “people” realise we are but “resourceful” energy to fuel each other’s hate for the benefit of the “super” elite…the nonpareil....

We have our theories
We build our animosity
We destroy each other like soldiers on a chess board
We think we know it all
We are fed what to think ..what to think is “right”

When will we understand that we the “people” are but “puppets” of higher governess…

When will we wake up and realize despite our geographical differences….despite our religions…we are just mere human beings, each with one life loaned us to live…a life so fragile it can end at any minute..any hour..

Yet we are so engrossed in things beyond our comprehension…things that are but a delusion…

When we accept we are but just chess pieces…only then can we hold together as one species

For now sadly ….enjoy the chaos of our ignorance..because we think we "know"
